Check out the article that was found in a Marin County newspaper. Looks like everyone is discovering Winters. Thought it was a nice article and they got it all right!
I met a client at my office today who was so distraught when she arrived as she had been to Home Depot in Vacaville and had lost her purse. She was just sure it was gone. They had gone back to look for it but it was no where to be found. As we were meeting a nice gentleman came in to the office wondering if I knew the lady who’s driver’s license he held. I told him that I did and she was sitting in the back of the office. She was so relieved! He had found her purse in the shopping cart outside in the parking lot. He had taken the time to drive to her house in Winters but when he found no one at home he decided to come to my office. He had found my card in her wallet. It was just Divine design that she was in my office when he arrived. She wanted to give him some kind of reward but he wouldn’t hear of it so I asked him to please write his name and address for her so she could send him a note. So folks, we all need to “play this one forward” as the saying goes. I truly believe that when you do something nice for someone, it comes back to you ten fold. Have a fantastic week and enjoy the fabulous weather.
The Turkovich Winery on Railroad is having their Grand Opening this weekend. Be sure and stop by and take a sip or two of their delicious wines and cheeses. They are featured on the front page of the Winters Express, www.wintersexpress.com, if you want to read the article. The Syrah is one of my personal favorites. After some wine tasting there and at Berryessa Gap you can have a “small plate” at the Putah Creek Cafe. They have updated their menu for lent, I plan to try the crab cakes, one of my personal favorites. Then on to The Palms and hear Roland White’s All-Star Bluegrass Band, the show starts at 8pm. Have a great weekend, I plan to!
Well, I am really excited because there are two new listings this week! The first one is on Dry Creek Ln. I have shown it twice and it is really nice. It is over 1700 sq ft and has hardwood floors, a wood stove, nice large kitchen and large bedrooms. A very nice home built in 2002 priced at $292,000. The second house is on Red Bud and is a 2 story home with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. It is in decent shape and has a nice sized yard with a koi pond. These one is priced at $262,500. Neither one is a short sale or bank owned property, how nice.!
408 First Street, Winters, CA will soon be available to rent. Once people move in here they just seem to stay. I have had two long term tenants in this home. It is an adorable two bedroom one bath house located in the heart of downtown right next to the Abbey House Inn. The hardwood floors were refinished and are gorgeous. It has a large period kitchen where you can sit in the breakfast nook on Saturday morning and read the paper. Relax this summer in the backyard. Walk a short block to downtown and get a coffe at Steay Eddie’s or catch some entertainment at The Palms. You just can’t lose with this home. Call today to see it. www.sandyvickrey.com

I just listed a adorable home located in the core area of Winters. Come and take a look at 12 Edwards Street, Winters, CA. It has all new paint and carpet and shows very well. The master bedroom opens on to a large backyard. It is located just 2 blocks from the downtown area so you can walk to get your morning coffee or dinner. Call me to make an appointment to see it, it’s adorable.
Realty World-Camelot Winters, Inc hosted the monthly Chamber Mixer tonight and it was another raving success. We had lots of raffle prizes that people donated and we had lots of chili. There were eight different kinds of chili so lots of different ones to try. We had a prize for the hottest, the must unusual and the people’s favorite. How you were able to make it.
Yesterday, one of my very best friends got married. We have been friends since the first grade and yes, we have graduated from high school. I am so happy for her. She was widowed three years ago very unexpectedly. She met Larry two years ago. He is a very nice man, a little ridged but nice. I think they will be very happy together. This s a picture of them dancing together last June at her daughter, Jaimie’s wedding. A rare picture as Larry doesn’t like to dance and she just got one dance out of him. I wish them a lifetime of happiness.
The wedding reception was held in my backyard so we have been very busy getting everything ready for the big event. My husband is in the middle of walnut harvest and is very busy. Plus, the north wind blow until 4:30pm so there were leaves all around. We all had a good time helping them celebrate the special occasion.
Tuesday night, September 2, 2008, downtown Winters will host the last Hot August NIght car show of the season. Main Street is closed off between Railroad and First Street. The music is stationed in front of the Buckhorn and the Buckhorn usually sales tri tip sandwiches. Hope to see you there, come and have some fun! www.sandyvickrey.com
