This morning I was driving to Woodland and I could see teh Suter Buttes, the snow packed Sierra Nevada mounains and the Vaca Mountains. Even though the crazy winds that were predicted, never materialized it was a beautiful dasy. It is Spring and people are looking for new homes and rentals. Life is good so enjoy it.
My daughter, Devon, called today and her school is planning camping trip this weekend to Monterey. It is not mandatory but she is interested ingoing so I am scrambling around finding all the camping gear in a hurry. Never mind that she was here for a good part of last week on Spring Break and she could have done it herself. What are parents/family for?!
Son, Jack is in Minneapolis for training with CH Robinson at their national headquarters. He is having a great time meeting people he has been doing business with but has never met. He loves Minneapolis, much to his surprise, a city he has never been to before.
I was sitting at the Putah Creek Cafe this afternoonn with my friend Nancy and her daughter, Cathryn, who is visiting from Phoenix. After watching it rain all day and most of the afternoon there was a break in the clouds and blue sky appeared and then this rainbow. Sort of made me feel like there are still some things that are right in this crazy world. Hope this brightens your day too.

I took this picture when Iwas Christmas shopping with my daughter in San Francisco, CA at the beginning of December. I thought the quality was very good considering I took it with my cell phone! It is a picture of the Macy’s window. When I was a kid my parents used to take us to The City to see all the Christmas windows. Gumps used to have the best. One year they had animals from the SPCA featured in all their windows. It was such a hit that they did it for many yeras after that. Now that they have their new location they don’t do anything anymore. Too bad. Saks and Macy’s are just about the only ones who have lavish Christmas decorations. Well, the Christmas rush is on and people are at least out looking and some of them are looking for a new home. There are close to 20 homes around $200k and under in Winters. My daughter and I have been in Phoenix, AZ the past 2 days learning about different ways to invest in real estate. It is always fun to see things through someone else’s eyes, especially the younger generation. We are learning about tax liens. What an interesting way to earn some money and invest. I am so glad I had this time to spend with my daughter. She is really enjoying this and absorbing what she hears like a sponge.
