I'm a Video Star!

Can you believe it?  Neither can I.  However, I had a videographer come to Winters last week and we made a video of my new listing at 106 Russell Street.  I think it might be rather boring but it is a really cute house and it was a fun experience.  Mike, the man with the camera fell in love with Winters.  Think he will do a nice job for me considering what he had to work with.  When I get it, which should be soon, I will post it here.  Think I should take some acting lessons.   Anyway, the point is to get the house sold and we are working on that.

The Lion Roars Tonight!

Taking the whole family, yes, all five of us to see The Lion King in Sacramento.  I have seen it once and had to make sure everyone saw it.  What a nice way to celebrate Father’s Day.  I know even the “old man”  will enjoy it.  If you have never had a chance try and find it palying somewhere never you.  It is very magical and loved how creative all the costumes and props are.  It is truly an amazing experience.  Hope you all enjoy tomorrow.

Check out this great artilce in today’s Sacrmento Bee about Ficelle’s in downtown Winters. You won’t be disappointed no matter when you eat there. Delicious and lots of fun.

The Biggest Loser

I love to watch this show.  Tonight is the grand finale.  These people are so inspirational to me.  I just can’t imagine losing 100+ pounds.  I think Tara will win and think she deserves to but they are all good contestants.  This is my American Idol.  When I go to the gym I think of them.  There could be some big surprises.  I wish them all a healthy life.   How about that 64 yr old losing 177 lbs!?  Just awesome.

Winters Youth Day

Class of 2012 FloatWell last Saturday was another great Youth Day in Winters, CA.  Hope you were there to enjoy all the festivities.  It was a great parade with lots of floats, caballeros (sp?) on home.  horses and bands.  Everyone seemed to enjoy the day.  After the parade there were lots of activities at the park.  I went over there and walked around but every food booth had a line a mile long so I decided it was easier to make lunch at home.  It looked like everyone was having a great time.  There were lots of things for the kids to do.  Hope to see you there next year.

Taking a day off.

Our 4 someA fewfrom the clug house at Yocha De He Yesterday I took a day off from the real estate office and participated in the Winters Healthcare Foundation Annual Golf Tournament.    This is the first time we have played at Yocha-De-He Golf club at Cache Creek Casino and Resort.  They have really out done themselves here.  The view is spectacular and the facility absolutely first rate.  Very well organized and a view everywhere.  I will play this course again.   It was very hot, 95 degrees at least.  But the dinner was great and I hope it was a successful fund raiser for them.  We all had a great time.

On a Clear Day you can see Forever!

This morning I was driving to Woodland and I could see teh  Suter Buttes, the snow packed Sierra Nevada mounains and the Vaca Mountains.  Even though the crazy winds that were predicted, never materialized it was a beautiful dasy.  It is Spring and people are looking for new homes and rentals.    Life is good so enjoy it.

My daughter, Devon, called today and her school is planning camping trip this weekend to Monterey.  It is not mandatory but she is interested ingoing so I am scrambling around finding all the camping gear in a hurry.  Never mind that she was here for a good part of last week on Spring Break and she could have done it herself.   What are parents/family for?!

Son, Jack is in Minneapolis for training with CH Robinson at their national headquarters.  He is having a great time meeting people he has been doing business with but has never met.  He loves Minneapolis, much to his surprise, a city he has never been to before.

Key West Beach

Just returned from spending an afternoon at the beach in Key West.  Someone has a beach concession renting beach chairs and lounges and umbrellas.  Perfect for us as we had none of that with us.  So, I have now been in the Atlantic Ocean.  Delightful to just sit and relax and read and smell the salt air.  Recommend it for everyone.

Key West, Florida

We left Sacramento at 6AM on Saturday morning, way too early in my book, and flew to Houston, then Ft. Lauderdale and last stop, Key West.  We arrived around 6:30pm.  The weather was perfect.  Attached is a picture of the sunset as we were flying down the keys.  Ooops, can’t find it now.  A great place to visit if you are looking for a vacation idea.  There are some Spring Breakers here too.  On Sunday we took a walk around town and look what we found hanging from the trees!
