Realty World Training

I attended a Realty World Training for new agents yesterday in Livermore.  What am I doing at a new agent training, you ask, as I have been in the business for 21 years?  Well, I have a new agent, Liz Ramirez, who is burning up the speedway, so we went together.   I have gone to several trainings where the same information was presented but I have to admit I did learn some new tricks.   I am always amazed at all the services that Realty World provides for their agents for free.   I even learned some new tricks on blogging.   Hope you all have a great weekend.

Short Sale Update Russell Street

Well, it has been about 3 weeks now since the Bank of America sent and appraiser out to look at the property and we haven’t heard a word since.  I actually called them last week to be sure they got it and didn’t lose the appraisal.    Strange things have happened like that in the past.    So here we sit and wait.  In the mean time the two halfs of the duplex are both vacant and my owner has no income there.  Should we fill them or leave them vacant for the new owner?  That is s tough one.  Just dont’ understand why it is taking so long for the bank to get back to us.  Shouldn’t be that hard to look at an appraisal and see whether or not you approve it.  I’ll keep you posted.

It’s HOT HOT HOT!

We are going to help a friend celebrate his 60th birthday tonight at Ficelle’s.  Of course, you kow that means outside dining!  No fans overhead, just stars.  Guess I will have to take my spritzer bottle to keep warm and a cold one might be in order.  HOpe you all have a good evening.  Don’t cook, just come to downtown Winters and sip a little wine at Berryessa Gap and Turkovich’s and then have some dinner.  Let’s just face it, it is too hot to heat up the house and a bowl of cereal just isn’t going to cut it to

Bike Riding Through Winters

I found this article in the Outboud section of the Sacramento Bee yesterday and wanted to share it.  I actually had a friend stop by the office today and she had rescued a biker out on Pleasants Valley Rd who was having problems with his bike.  She loaded him into her truck and drove him into town to VeloCity to get the problem fixed.  I asked the gentleman, Craig, if he had seen yesterday’s article and he said, yes, that was why he was in town.  The last I saw him he was headed down to the Putah Creek Cafe for lunch.  Little did he know  John Pickerel was the guest on Kitty O’Neal’s Restaurant Talk today on KFBK 1530 at 3:30pm.  It was fun to listen to John, great job, don’t think I will cook tonight!   http://www.sacbee.com/2010/07/15/2890118/great-rides-out-past-winters-plenty.html

Winters High School Graduation Tonight!

The WHS Class of 2010 will be walking the stage tonight at 7 pm at Seller’s Field.  How exciting for these young people to be starting a whole new phase of their lives.  I wish them all the best and good wishes for the future.  For some they will be the first or the first generation in their family to earn a high school diploma.  I am very proud of each and every one of you.  I hope the weather holds for you too!

New listing on Main Street

Dave in my office has a great new listing on Main Street.   This house is located in the core area of town and has single siding like a Bungalow.  It has 2 bedrooms and one bath and a small basement.  It has been remodeled and updated over the past few years but the current owner and the previous owner.  If you are looking for  a cutie in the old downtown area this could be the home for you.  Let me know if you want to take a look?

PS Are you freezing?  I sure am.

Capitol Trade Group Meeting

I attended the Capitol Trade Group monthly meeting today in Sacramento.  I love these guys.  We are a group of Realty World franchise owners who meet once a month to promote our area in real estate and brainstorm.  Today we discussed the rally we attended in Stockton last month sponsored by Realty World Corporate.  They had 4 wonderful speakers which inspired us all.  We especially liked Shannon King who shared all her ideas on the latest techno things available to make our lives easier without spending much money.  We also discussed short sales and foreclosures.  Looks like I have some home work to do.

Amgen Tour rolls through Winters today!

The Corner of Railroad and Main, Winters

Well the Amgen tour just rolled through town in day2 of the tour.  It is always so exciting to seem them roll/streak down Main Street.  I am so lucky so they go right my office.  This is always a fun event to watch.  There was a very slight sprinkle when them came through town but it is dry now.  Hope the weather holds as they ride by Lake Berryessa on Highway 128.

Bike races in Winters, CA

Well, this weekend is going to be very busy for downtown Winters!  First of all there will be a bike race which will close a lot of the streets from 7 to 5pm on Saturday.  The Winters Education  Foundation is sponsoring a bike race that will “race” around the downtown area.  I also heard that the Davis Bike Club is having their double centurion on Saturday, yes, they ride 200 miles in one day!  Can you believe that ?!   Count me in as a spectator only on that one.   Then on Monday the Amgen tour rides through Winters sometime  between 11:30 and 1pm.  So beware of traffic delays but enjoy the fun.  We are off to the Giants game in San Francisco.  Most all of us are going to celebrate Mother’s Day.  Should be a fun time.  Go Giants!
