Well, it is Tuesday and that is the day of the week we update our listings.  We come both the Solano County and the Yolo County MLS systems for listings.  I know it is hard to believe but today there were only 2!  Last week there were eight!  Of the two listings one of them has two offers pending so  it will be gone soon.  There quite a few lisitings out in the country but the majority of those are over $500k.  When a new listing comes on the market it goes quickly if it is priced right.  It will l a great year number wise for sales.  Who knows what next year will hold but in the mean time things are good.

Well, we finally have some new listings priced around $200k!  There have been 3 or 4 new listings in the past two weeks.  Some of these are already pending sales, if you can believe that.  I just came back from  showing some of these.  Unfortunately most of these new listings are short sales.  That means that we have to get the blessing of the bank before we can close.  Sometimes that is impossible to get but when we do get lucky it is usually a 3 or 4 month waiting period.  Anyway, it is good to have something to show people for a change.  If you need any help with finding that perfect house and getting the Obama credit be sure and give a call soon, November 30th is closing in on us.

It is Friday and after a busy day taking care of a home inspection and showing rental properties we are off to relax at Lake Berryessa.  Last week we went up there after work and had a delightful evening.  So, we decided to do a repeat!  This is just one of the many advantages of living in our small community.  Living by the lake provides a quick, easy get away.  Last weekend we even saw an otter busy at work catching and eating a fish.  That was fascinating as well as our usual family of deer.   Here are some pictures of the sunset last Friday.

Last Friday we went up to Lake Berryessa so our son, Chad, could wake board and to take our AFS student, Rita, from Italy, class of 1980, for dinner.  It was very hot and a night on the lake sounded  relaxing.   When we got up there we discovered there was a fire and the fire fighters were out  in force.  Attached, are pictures  of the helicopters fighting the fire.   They are coming into the cove to get water to dump on the fire.  It was an awesome sight!
